Fireguard Technology

Sylvan Ply’s Fireguard Technology is both revolutionary and relevant in the plywood industry. It is one of a kind, coupled with safety and resilience. Our Fire-retardant plywood has a flame spread index of 45, which means it will take 45 minutes for the plywood to burn and spread the fire. This feature gives it self-extinguishing properties, making it one of the safest plywood choices for your home. Layers of strong, fire-retardant chemicals are applied under pressure to render the “Fireguard” property in our plywood, hence the name. Furthermore, these chemicals are applied as a surface coating during the dipping stages as well to ensure a desired surefire outcome. The in-house manufactured resin composition reduces the emission of toxic gases and slows down the pace and spread of fire. Sylvan Ply’s Fireguard is backed by a technology that does not emit toxic gases under heat exposure. Instead, it cuts down on the smoke caused by fire; thus, nullifying the chances of suffocation or excessive carbon emission. We incorporate and swear by our 360-degree safety principle, producing the best in quality products for our customers.

Anti-Termite Borer Solution

Sylvan Ply’s proprietary ATBS (Anti-Termite Borer Solution) is known for its durability and quality. Our plywood is chemically treated during the production process to completely eliminate the risk of termite and borer infestation. Extractions from timber are treated to create an eco-friendly compound, which can repel termites and borers. Speaking of defence, our in-house PowerSeal Adhesive acts as an additional barrier and provides an absolute level of protection, warding away everything deadly. Used in the entire procedure during the manufacturing process, each sheet is treated with the same adhesive, hence ensuring top-notch plywood for you. In case of a termite attack, our defensive compound mixed with the plywood acts as a shield against the termites, preventing the infestation of your furniture or floors. After a certain period of time, the protective feature of Sylvan Ply’s ATBS technology results in the death of these termites.

E0 Certification

Our premium-grade products conform to E0 European Guideline for Formaldehyde Emission, i.e, they emit Formaldehyde less than or equal to 0.5mg/l. It means they are the ideal choice for use in an interior environment without the need for extra treatment. E1 Certification
